How To Make Super Slime

Posted by Cathy Rennison on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 Under: Crafts To Do At Home
So, this is the third time I have tried to post this blog - the other 2 disappeared off into cyber-space never to be seen again. Third time lucky?

I adore this slime and it weirdly seems to be more popular the older you get, sure the babies love it, but this particular slime even got an 82 year old man playing at a recent charity session!

This slime is not edible, so keep it out of babies mouths. (Edible slime coming soon - watch this space!)

You will need:
  • 1 tsp Borax + 1 cup Water
  • ½ cup PVA glue + ½ cup Water
  • Paint or food colouring
  • Essential oil
To make your slime:
  • In one bowl mix the borax and water.
  • In another bowl mix the glue and water - add paint or food colouring if desired.
  • Pour glue mixture into borax mixture.
  • Stir well adding a few drops of essential oil.
  • The more it is played with, the slimier it gets.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
That is it, as simple as that!

You can get borax from Ebay and Amazon, if you use borax substitute it will still work but you may need a little bit more.

Please post your photos of your own slime on our Facebook page, I love to hear how you are getting on at home with our recipes.
